Aerotek is seeking an administrative assistant/receptionist to for one of our client's located in McLean, VA. They are looking for someone with any related experience, excellent customer service, and a hardworking personality to support their office. Primary function of the Administrative Assistant is to perform all activities of the main church office, communicate information relating to the church calendar and building usage, and work toward keeping the day-to-day operations of the office organized and clear.

Title: Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Pay: $10-12/hour

Placement: 6 month contract-to-hire

Shift: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm (full-time)

Job Description

  • Open church office hours on time and maintain the church office environment
  • Responsible for church office reception and answering phone calls
  • Provide administrative support for the church pastoral staff and preschool staff timely and responsively
  • Facilitate church and preschool communication: calendar, bulletins, phones, newsletter, faxes, etc.
  • Receive scheduled deliveries; pick up, distribute and disseminate all mail and correspondence
  • Manage the flow of supplies; ordering and maintenance of office supplies and equipment
  • Coordinate and maintain membership data (including addresses and phone numbers) with the church clerk to be input in the church database (e.g., new members, baptisms, weddings, deaths, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate filing system (both electronic and physical filing)
