SUMMARY OF JOB: Responsible for the development and execution of Six Flags St Louis marketing plans. Insure that marketing strategies and tactics are executed and clearly communicated on a timely basis to management, stakeholders, and external partners. Provide diligence to insure that program guidelines are adhered to and that marketing concepts and practices are implemented and communicated. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Responsible for the development and management of all aspects of marketing the Six Flags brand as it relates to Six Flags St. Louis, as well as support and champion the corporate Marketing mission for Six Flags. Collaborate as a key member of the senior leadership team and participate in all aspects of the park's strategic planning process and implementation to drive new growth and improvements. Act as the company's thought leader for marketing in efforts to improve the company's performance and achieve growth objectives for attendance, per cap and revenue. Work with all divisions at the Corporate and Park Level -- including Operations, Finance, Corporate Alliance, Ticket Strategy and In Park Revenue to identify, implement and drive strategic direction locally in line with the overall Six Flags philosophy. Oversee and actively manage all aspects of admission ticket sales channels and make ongoing adjustments to optimize ticket revenue (pricing, attendance goals, season pass sales, pre-sold groups, online sales, etc.). Provide team leadership to the marketing team and immediate supervision of the Public Relations Manager, General Sales Manager, and Promotions Manager in the area of analysis of sales and marketing programs and activities. Oversee and execute innovative marketing programs in both core and outer markets that increase market and brand awareness. Insure strategies are tactically executed in a creative and timely manner and within expense guidelines Develop local short term and long term marketing plans in line with corporate strategic plans and goals in order to grow revenues. Work with each advertising agency (direct, media buying and planning, creative) to develop and implement specific park marketing plans and creative direction. Have experience with social media marketing and e-commerce. Identify potential marketing partnerships at the local and regional level and develop relationships (through barter, special events, etc.) to increase awareness and grow revenue. Provide strategic and tactical support and partnership with corporate alliance to grow sales and embrace as part of the marketing team. Responsible for effective use of budgeting and monitoring of all expenses associated with all programs under the marketing department. Create and submit required reports when due. Work closely with all other marketing employees to ensure the overall marketing goals are met. All other duties as deemed necessary by Senior Management. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: B.A. or B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field. Outstanding skills in budgeting, leadership, organization, motivation, team building, communication, listening, guest service, safety, analysis and accountability. Ability to use PowerPoint, Excel, Word and internet. Lead by example with a common-sense based, hands-on management style, a strong work ethic, honesty and integrity, a positive attitude and with a high energy level. Willingness to work weekends, night shifts and long hours, particularly during summer park 7 day operations. Outgoing and aggressive personality, along with excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance essential. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience in management and delegation responsibilities.
