Fire Sprinkler Alarm Inspector (South West Houston)
Automation Personnel Services in West Houston is seeking qualified candidates for a Fire Sprinkler Alarm Inspector position. Client is offering this position on a temp to hire. Excellent benefits. We are seeking candidates who are self-starters, enthusiastic and team players to join our already successful organization. We are looking for individuals who want to be future leaders of our company. We are looking for a multi-licensed candidate.
Job description:
The job duties include testing and inspection of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications. Minimum of 3+ years experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and testing of life safety systems and product lines.
Responsible for operating with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections.
Inspect and report commercial fire sprinkler systems and associated equipment.
Daily communications with Account Manager (s) and/or Schedule Coordinators on inspection or
Project delays, requirements and general status of job. Including complete closeout and turnover of
Reports to the client is 100% complete.
Qualifications:
A minimum of NICET Level II Sprinkler is required.
Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes.
State of Texas Fire Alarm Technicians License.
Texas Fire Extinguisher License Class B or higher a plus (can be earned).
Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices, sprinkler controls and critical components.
Able to complete documentation as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and/or
I pads, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Willing to communicate inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
Ability to read and write in English.
Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJ s (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and the general public.
Possess a valid driver s license.
Willing to pass pre-employment drug screen, background and reference check. No Felonies. Must be able to read blue prints.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to read blue prints.
FAL, Fire Sprinkler, Backflow, Extinguisher, Kitchen hood, Suppression.
FAL and Fire Sprinkler are probably the preferred. The company will help push to obtain the other licenses.
Compensation: Pay is depending on experience $25+ an hour to start. Company has full benefits.
Monday through Friday 7am-4pm.
