Job Description:

This position is responsible for the safe moving, staging and parking of vehicles to and from the pier, various dealerships, RAC locations etc. and Manheim Hawaii Neighbor Island location in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations. This position will also serve as backup for the Island Supervisor and must be familiar with those responsibilities as well.

Job Responsibilities:

·Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises, as well as pick-up and deliver vehicles to and from the Auction, while observing Auction driving rules, the Uniform Vehicle Code, rules of the road and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.

·Must be able to complete a thorough vehicle condition report and take photos as required.

·Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor, move vehicles as necessary and locate "lost" vehicles.

·Write information on windshield as instructed by supervisor.

·If necessary, inflate tires with an air compressor or air tank, jump start vehicles using a battery box, change batteries when practical, and flat rack cars at Young Brothers. Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative or out of gas.

·Assist customers (i.e., dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and co-workers as needed.

·Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

·May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

·Experience: Previous Auction and/or driving experience helpful.

·Competencies/Skills: Valid Driver's License and safe driving record required. Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission. Must be computer literate.

·Physical Demands: Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to walk long distances. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

·Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level. Fast paced, ever changing workloads and priorities.
