Avionics Technician - Des Moines, Iowa

Aerotek is looking for Avionics Technicians to support is client who's business is growing due to the new FAA ADS-B requirements and increase in a new type of Garmin install that they have the STC on due to a partnership with Garmin. These are contract to hire positions with the largest Garmin installer in the United States. We are looking for people that can do both installation work, as well as troubleshoot and repair avionics issues. Most of the instruments we are working with are Garmin, but could do some work with Rockwell Collins. Candidates will be working for a company which values individuals who are driven and thrive working in a team environment who would like to advance their avionics and aviation skills on a variety of aircraft.

There are two types of avionics openings:

Tech 1 - Entry-Level or Military experience

• Need to have a recent avionics certificate or diploma from an Aviation Technical Skill OR prior military avionics experience.
• $16-$18 with no work experience , could go up to $20 with a little experience.

Tech 2 or higher

• 2+ years of experience.
• Strong installs or troubleshooting experience on Corporate or General Aviation aircraft.
• Garmin or Rockwell Collins experience preferred
• Pay range is $22 to $26

This is mostly a day shift position with some overtime offered.

Per diem is available during the contract portion.
