Medical Claims Examiner - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is currently seeking a seasoned Claims Examiner to work in the Linthicum, MD area.

The position requires the ability to work in a high volume claims environment including daily processing of various types of claims. Daily the Claims Examiner is responsible for reviewing correcting and releasing claims for payment. Some additional duties may be performed including processing new insurance policies, modifying existing ones and obtaining information from policyholders to verify the accuracy of their accounts.

Work Environment:

This is a high volume atmosphere, the team is built out right now with room for 6 Examiners that report to a Supervisor and Manager. They look for people that are able to work together since it is a smaller group. They do have to be able to come in and work hard to hit goals each day. They are looking to build a new culture that focuses on external customers along with internal employees while everyone contributes to the overall company goal.

Qualifications:

• One plus years claims processing (medical, dental and/or vision) area is required.
• Knowledge of provider reimbursements and experience in the health insurance industry would be preferred.
• Experience working with multiple claims software.
• Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional Communication written and verbal.

Performance Expectations:

Candidates should be able to handle around 80 claims per day at least.
