Data Architect - Minnetonka, MN - Full-time / Part-time

The person in this position will be involved in the development, communication, and implementation of the organization’s data architecture strategy, design, acquisition plan and management processes for the entire data lifecycle (from acquisition to visualization).
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Gather data with appropriate tools and optimized processing technique
Lead Data Strategy development and collaborate on successful execution
Develop, socialize and communicate Data Architecture Models
Build and maintain actionable data roadmap that enables business vision
Establish sources of truth and processes for effective quality
Help determine Data Tools and Technology direction
Support developers in schema-design, data-modeling and data strategy for applications and services
Work with business owners to fully understand how data drives business issues and opportunities
Support successful project execution

Required Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Big Data concepts and tools
5+ years of DB development experience with more than 1 DBMS
Proficient Data Modeling
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Data Stage) Experience working in a Healthcare Industry
Experience working in a consulting organization  or consulting capacity
NoSQL experience
TOGAF training and concepts
Ability to convey complex architectures visually with tools like Microsoft Visio, LucidChart, etc.
