Which is why your performance and innovation will find a reception here like nowhere else while you do your life's best work.(sm) The Specialty Pharmacy Financial Consultant will lead the creation of complex analyses to drive decision making for UnitedHealthcare Pharmacy Specialty Pharmacy projects and programs. The primary focus for this position is to provide data and financial analytics to identify, support, validate and measure the Specialty Pharmacy Program across both pharmacy and medical benefits.Primary Responsibilities:
Perform variance and trend analyses and provide explanations and recommendations
Design and deliver reporting of pharmacy and medical claims; more importantly, provide corresponding analysis to identify and drive potential opportunities for the business
Identify solutions to nonstandard requests and problems
Act as SME for Specialty Pharmacy analytics and provide feedback and guidance to others
Utilize tools such as SAS, SQL, and MicroStrategy to access and manipulate claims data
Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes and measurements
Create financial modeling using claims and other health care data
Pioneer new methods to help prove value of medical and pharmacy benefit integration
Interpret complex clinical and economic analyses
Provide insight and expertise by presenting findings, analysis and reports to the UHCP Management Team

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Statistics
1+ years of previous experience with emphasis in financial analysis or other analytical functions
SAS proficiency; 3+ years’ experience in data analytics and reporting
Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with MS ExcelÂ

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive results
Strong communication skills and business acumen
Ability to interact effectively with different business units and team members at all levels
