Nurse Trainer

Objective :
To identify job duties and job evaluation standards of US nurse managers during 2-month instruction, developing workflow and regulations for a PreferUS Healthcare China hospital partner based on the partner's existing methods. This job will take place both in Shanghai and Yinchuan, China. The candidate must possess at least 3 years of management experience. Ideal candidate would have experience as a Nurse Manager / Nurse Manager.

Content of instruction:

• Working methods and thoughts of nurse managers.
• Planning and developmental thoughts for departments (suggestions on planning and layout of departments for the new hospital).
• Personnel assignment of departments (post setting and staffing).
• Supervision on nurses.
• Recruitment and training program for department staff.
• Training and requirements for physician assistants( job description and assessment).
• Appraisal and reward system ( staff nurse, nurse manager, physician assistant and nurse assistant).
• Suggestion on departmental cost cutting.
• Nurse manager log.
• How to improve physician satisfaction.
• Instructor should have the ability to spot problems and put forward reform measures.
• Suggestions on how hospital assists departments to improve.

Agenda:
Week 1: Become familiar with different departments (layout, staffing, workflow, etc).
Week 2-3: Take on role of Department Manager operating the department.
Week 4: Work summary and put forward reform plan
Week 5-7: Carry out the reform plan.
Week 8: Summarize 2-month training session.
