POSITION TITLE

General Laborer



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.



PRINCIPAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Must be able to work in a team setting.

2. Must uphold professionalism at all times.

3. Must maintain good attendance at all times.

4. Must be able to work in a fast pace production environment.

5. Front End Styler: Inspect product for overlap, Inspect for out of spec product, Place all rejected product in tray, Continuous quality check during the run.

6. After Breader: Inspect for breading voids and place all rejected product in tray, Inspect for overlapped product.

7. After Fryer: Insure all product is within customer specification. Inspect for sediment and insure all product is flat on the belt. Insure that product is spread out on the belt.

8. Adheres to ALL job safety requirements including lockout /tagout.

9. Prevents unnecessary product and material waste.

10. Complies with posted Job Aid(s).

11. Packaging-Visually inspect all packaged product, up to 95 bags per minute, and physically inspect up to 30% of the trays per minute for proper package seal. Inspect and pull out all rejects

12. Get boxes from conveyer; fill in boxes with correct number of bags working at the speed of production flow. Push boxes down the conveyer to the scale. .

13. Monitor Scale to ensure all boxes are weighed and label boxes.

14. Make boxes ensuring that the line has sufficient boxes. Stack boxes of product on to pallet, put labels as needed on boxes. Break down all packaging materials to be returned to warehouse.

15. Report Machine Performance issues and quality concerns to lead or supervisor.

16. Other Duties as assigned by supervisor, including rotation to other departments as needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The environmental factors and / or physical requirements of this position include the following:

Ability to work for 8 hours or more in a stationary position or travel on a wet, moist, dry, greasy, floors which may include metal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval. Ability to work from various types of ladders and/or stairs. Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity. Noise exposure of 110 db, and light intensity range of 50 to 100 foot candles. Bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task required. Exposure to chlorinated water ( 50 ppm, Ammonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant. Must use and / or wear protective and safety equipment required for the job.
