Job Description – Senior Tax Accountant

PrideStaff Financial, a national recruiting firm specializing in accounting and financial positions, is seeking qualified Senior Tax candidates to work for small to mid-size CPA firms. The Senior Tax Accountants will be responsible for a variety of corporate clients and high net worth individuals including federal and multi-state, trusts, stock options, etc.

Job Responsibilities – Senior Tax Accountant

• Prepare Federal and State Income Tax returns for individuals, LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps
• Review/Analyze prior year’s tax filings for accuracy
• Meet with clients to obtain additional information on taxable income, deductible expenses and allowances
• Meet and discuss income tax results and filing procedures with clients
• Advise clients on the full spectrum of tax amenities
• Possibly perform review procedures

Job Requirements – Senior Tax Accountant

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance expected; CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of public tax experience preparing returns for individuals, LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps
• Provision experience is a plus
• Knowledge in using additional tax resources for research is important
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and tax software is expected
• Time management and organizational skills are a must
• Strong oral and written skills with full command of the English language are critical for success
• Audit skills helpful but not mandatory

Compensation – Senior Tax Accountant

Based on experience and skills, salary range is:

• $65,000-$85,000/yr
