EFMIT has an immediate opening for an Engineer 3, ETL. The ETL Developer is responsible for analysis of business requirements, and the design, development and implementation of highly efficient, highly scalable ETL processes.

This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices related to the design, development, and deployment of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with expert level Oracle Database, ODI (ETL), SQL, & PL/SQL experience who is looking for a challenging, fast paced work environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the efficient, accurate, and secure acquisition, integration, provision, and exchange of the enterprise data
  • Works with external vendors and internal business and technology staff to accurately gather and interpret requirements, specifications, and database models to determine appropriate ETL development solutions
  • Develops ETL technical specifications and recommends, designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports innovative and optimal data solutions
  • Works with the Data Services and Business Intelligence team to design, implement, and support end-to-end data solutions across multiple platforms, environments, domains, and locations
  • Integrates ETL development with existing codebase to maximize object reuse
  • Creates, executes, and documents unit test plans for ETL and data integration processes and programs
  • Documents ETL processes, programs and solutions as per established standards
  • Performs tasks required to conform to the companys configuration management and software release processes
  • Monitors and administers ETL jobs to verify execution and measure performance
  • Works with internal team, vendors, consultants, and external partners to quickly identify and resolve data integration and ETL job issues
  • Assesses and documents the structure, quality, and compliance of source data and coordinate with business and technology teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develops and mentors less senior team members on technologies, tasks and assignments.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL developmentutilizing an industry recognized tool
  • 3+ years of experience with ODI, Informatica or other ETL tools (ODI Experience will be Preferred)
  • 3+ Years of data modeling and building data warehouse
  • 3+ years of experience in developing or supporting a data warehouse
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle platforms
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL programming, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and error trapping
  • Experience with conducting Oracle SQL performance tunings
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwinis a plus

Candidates must also possess the following:

  • Excellent time management and work prioritization skills
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills,with an ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms
  • Ability to participate in production on-call support rotation schedule for ETL processing and completion
  • Ability to conduct performance tuning of the ETL process
  • Ability to assist with estimates for the ETL process and suggest improvements
