POSITION PURPOSE -

Responsible for managing a team of both Home Depot associates and both on and off shore contractors, supporting all Distribution users in multiple platform DCs across the US and Canadian distribution networks comprised of RDC, DFC, SDC & BDC platforms as well as the SSC Corporate users . Ticket work accounts for 66% of the average 48 hr. associate work week. Tickets are comprised of 40% System Alerts and 60% User Tickets. Remaining 34% is comprised of regular User meetings, Weekly maintenance Activities, Internal Support Ticket/Defect meetings, Defect analysis and fix implementation (regular meetings with Manhattan, Intelligrated, etc.), Minor Business Enhancements and Reporting Requests, Project Engagement and roll out, Training, KB Documentation, Incident Calls (engaging operations, driving resolution/root cause/no repeat), Patches and Upgrades coordination and application management, Performance Tuning, Compliance Activities(SOX, PCI), Administrative. Position is responsible for coordinating and approving changes into the production environments while ensuring stability. Primary driver for Defect tracking and resolution across the Transportation space. Position reports to the Sr. Manager for IT Logistics Support.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - 
Builds relationship with key user and store operation groups to identify and resolve business issues. Manages system development and support activities to meet user needs in a timely and cost effective manner while ensuring the right things get done as per the governance process. Manages and tracks the progress of multiple development projects. Project management and administration that include work plans, projtrac, resource planning and control, writing status reports, and preparing annual budgets. Communicates status of development design to supervisors and end users. Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff. NATURE AND SCOPE - Typically reports to a Director, Senior Manager, or Vice President. Typically have supervisory responsibilities for Engineers or Specialists at all levels. Typically requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others. Typically procedures for analyzing situations and making conclusions are diverse. Typically considers among many different options or procedures when solving problems Typically, once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Located in a comfortable indoor area. Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - 
Must be eighteen years of age or older. ? Must pass the Drug Test. ? Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 

* Able to manage in a fast paced, complex environment while meeting demanding customer needs in a timely manner
* Experience managing multiple applications including Supply Chain apps WMS, LM as well as Java based GRID apps using Agile and XP methodologies
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate status to leadership and customers
* Proven track record selecting, developing, mentoring, motivating, and garnering the respect of IT staff and peers
* Adept at navigating and working in a matrix support organization including off-shore resources across multiple technologies
* Can build strong relationships with key IT partners and business customers to remove obstacles and drive issues to closure
* Deep knowledge of THD retail Transportation and Delivery processes and systems
