The Job Window is looking for an Events Manager to join our client’s Event marketing & Communications team in Erie. In this role, you will foster both new and existing corporate partnerships, manage corporate events and tradeshows, and provide marketing & sales support for branded events within the entertainment, sports, and food industries. You'll be responsible for managing and delivering sales strategies designed to increase client revenue and oversee event planning and execution.  As an Events Manager, you will deliver exceptional brand experiences and promote expanded product awareness through events. This is a great opportunity to become part of a cross-functional team responsible for all aspects of corporate marketing.

Primary job responsibilities
  • Oversee planning/execution of event including contacting HR departments of corporate partners for scheduling, advertising prior to the event to increase attendance, and preparing event meeting spaces and amenities as required for each event.
  • Manage follow-up activities for corporate event sponsorships and tradeshows, maintaining relationships with corporate partners following the event.
  • Communicate effectively and manage corporate event participation, interacting in a proactive manner with attendees.
  • Ensure high event attendance in order to increase sales and brand awareness amongst consumers.
  • Support client brands at events, both internal and external
  • Identify and implement effective processes and procedures to ensure smooth and professional events including managing set-up of event materials and displays.
  • Oversee post-event metrics and reporting

Requirements

Required skills
  • 2-4 years of event strategy & event planning experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a closely related degree preferred.
  • Project management skills with ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Ability to communicate with senior-level corporate executives
  • Outstanding problem solving, writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to identify and develop performance measures and benchmarks
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to perform well under pressure
  • Creative thinking skills; ability to explore or implement a modern or unconventional approach to solving problems
