Overview
The Home Instead Senior Care office in Salem is a growing business.  We need an enthusiastic detailed-oriented self-starter to take us further.  This position will include planning, organizing, and fostering relationships.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Reflect the core values of ABS Home Care, Inc., dba Home Instead Senior Care
  • Communicate clearly and concisely the purpose of in-home care, and be able to easily convey the services and scope of this agency
  • Work with prospective clients from start to finish
  • Document accurately all communication
  • Meet or exceed targeted closing rates
  • Make connections in the community
  • Set up and attend Vendor Fairs
  • Network with other professionals
  • Coordinate events
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owners, colleagues, and CAREGivers
  • Perform on-call duties after normal business hours, when needed
 
 Education/Experience Requirements
  • High school graduation or the equivalent
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the senior care industry
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Outlook and be able to operate general office equipment
  • Must be capable of learning new computer software in a reasonable amount of time in order to perform job duties
  • Must have an available, reliable, licensed and insured vehicle
  • Able to work at a desk for long periods of time and/or drive to homes or senior communities 
  • Ability to assist with on-call duties on occasion (evenings or weekends), as requested
  • Have effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, franchise owners and their staff
  • Must be able to work evenings or weekends, as required
Hours:  This is a Full-Time, 5 day/week position:  Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
