This position is responsible for the overall success of assigned functions involving post-retail and purchased goods and their contribution to the Agency, as it relates to financial performance and material management.

Occupational Priorities: Incumbents should be focused on the following priorities;

Post-Retail Operations:

  1. Ensuring an acceptable margin relating to salaries, trash, sales, shrinkage, E/R and revenue
  2. Assuming responsibility for the hiring, development, discipline and termination of associates assigned to this person
  3. Assuming responsibility for the safe and efficient flow of materials into and out of the Outlet Store
  4. Ensuring a positive customer experience at all Outlet Store location

Salvage/Warehousing:

  1. Overseeing the process flow involved with salvage lines, such as scrap metal, shoes, plush and textiles
  2. Assuming responsibility for the communication with salvage vendors and the identification and procurement of aftermarket salvage lines or revenue sources
  3. Ensuring market pricing on salvage/recycling line
  4. Ensuring costs and/or revenue meet or exceed budgeted projections

Purchased Goods:

  1. Supporting oversight of the Agency supply process, identifying issues and developing solutions
  2. Ensuring the smooth process flow of purchased goods between the retail locations and the Operations Center

Job-related Tasks: These are the tasks the incumbent will perform on a daily basis; (not all-inclusive)

  1. Set priorities to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals
  2. Maintain a positive, appropriate, professional relationship with all staff, representative of your position
  3. Communicate effectively with support departments and division management regularly to ensure goals are met
  4. Ensuring assigned areas meet Agency expectations pertaining to quality and efficiency
  5. Handle day-to-day management decisions with confidence, good judgment and minimal intervention
  6. Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the organization
  7. Complete any special projects delegated by divisional management
  8. Hold regular meetings with staff
  9. Manage personnel in assigned areas, including hiring, training, development and separations
  10. Consistently evaluate functionality, flow, efficiencies in assigned areas, recognizing issues and developing solutions
  11. Ability to work weekend and/or evening shift(s) as necessary

  4. Familiarity with safety requirements in a warehouse/retail environment
  5. Basic understanding of legal requirements regarding employment
