What will I be doing?

As a Travel Agency Manager would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards\:

 
Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs and promotions in order to achieve budgeted targets HGV's unique travel agency.  Must maximize profit generation and customer service satisfaction from marketing operations associated with Direct Marketing Pacific Teams and domestic and international Member services.   Manages the day to day operations of the travel agency.
 
  • Keep abreast of industry enhancements and updates.  Remain fully informed of all airlines rules and regulations, ARC / ITAN requirements, tariffs and other industry requirements. 
  • Mentor, coach and train team members on a daily basis through shadowing and one on one training sessions.  Must provide both positive and negative feedback in an effort to improve efficiencies, maximize production and to provide high quality customer service.
  • Responsible for conducting daily informational, motivational and/or training meetings with team members to help create a positive team environment.
  • Works with management to provide recommendations and/or develops operating procedures, training programs, incentives, and marketing programs.
  • Development and execution of new marketing programs and services.
  • Assist with timely creation, posting, and/or adjusting of team member schedules.
  • Coach agents on performance, and issue verbal and written disciplinary or progressive counseling when needed
  • Opening and closing procedures including, which includes a rotation in the Manger on Duty schedule.
  • Handle customer questions, problems, complaints requiring management intervention.
  • Monitor and assist in the evaluation of program/promotions contacts and contact-to-package sale/tours booked conversion rates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Participate fully as a team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client, including ticket processing, clerical functions, pre-paid tickets, debit memos, etc.
Basic Qualifications\:
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience with SABRE
  • High level of reading, writing and speaking proficiency in English and Japanese
  • Must be proficient in a major Global Distribution System (preferrably Sabre)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and Holidays
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skill
 
Preferred Qualifications\:
  • Proven ability to lead teams to meet performance goals.
  • Prior timeshare, hospitality or customer service experience
  • Excellent Leadership skills
