As a Group Training Coordinator with Life Time Training, you will assist our members by educating, delivering, and connecting them to our industry leading strategy of the Core 3. The power of Core 3 is our unmatched ability to address all areas of our members' health and fitness needs to achieve optimal results. As a team member of the Life Time Training division, you are able to advance your career in the fitness industry by providing your expertise and gaining experience in the following areas:
KNOW IT- Comprehensive Assessments
Education, testing, and technology to help our members' know how their unique bodies work.
(Examples: Lab Testing, Metabolic Assessments, Devices, Activity Monitors, myHealthScore)
NOURISH IT- Personalized Nutrition and Lifestyle
Professional advice, products and strategies to fuel and enrich our members' healthy way of life.
(Examples: Nutrition Coaching, Nutritional Products, Supplements, Registered Dietitians)
MOVE IT- Customized Workouts
Activities, events, and programs to keep our members' engaged in healthy and entertaining ways.
(Examples: Private Training, Weight Loss, Metabolic Coaching, TEAM Classes, Pilates)
Duties & Responsibilities
* Creates a friendly, educational, safe and inviting experience for all participants
* Ensures staff initiates, develops and maintains positive relationships with participants
* Provides a safe, clean and organized TEAM training area
* Promotes and sells fitness division services within the club and the community
* Creates staff schedules and coordinates staffing of demonstration classes
* Ensures instructor evaluations are completed and documented each session
* Recruits, interviews, and trains staff using instructor checklist
* Conducts instructor teach backs and evaluations to ensure quality instruction
* Attends monthly meetings with the Personal Training Department Head
* Compiles class profile binder and TEAM Tracker for class metrics
* Reports accidents and injuries to supervisor as soon as possible
* Suggests methods of preventing hazards to safety committee
Education & Experience
* High School diploma or GED
* Four-year degree in kinesiology, sports medicine or other related field preferred
* Experience with teaching or participating in TEAM Programs
* Experience with heart rate training
* Cardiovascular endurance athlete preferred
Licenses / Certifications/ Registrations
* Certified Personal Trainer (Minimum of One Certification):
o ACE, ACTION, AAPTE, ACSM, CSCCa, Cooper Institute, NASM, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, NSCA, PTA Global, LT Academy
* CPR/AED Certification within 6 months of hire
* Life Time Fitness Training Certifications
o Cardio O2 Program Exam
o Multi -- Training System Exam
o Polar RS200 Fundamentals Exam
o TEAM Weight Loss -- Program Exam
o Polar RS 400 and P5 Software Fundamentals Exam
