Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 to oversee the daily operations of the Food Service Department at one of the two hospitals at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare All Saints. The Wisconsin Avenue campus is located right on the shores of Lake Michigan. This hospital campus includes our Lakeshore Manor unit (LTC/Rehab) as well as our Behavioral Health unit. The Food Operations Manager will ensure proper food and physical safety standards are in place as well as following proper cash controls. The Food Operations Manager will be the liaison between Food Service and the leaders at the Wisconsin Avenue campus.
The Food Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager and possess stellar communication skills, a genuine passion for service and a focus on leadership to meet and exceed satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include:
Retail operations and oversight for all marketing/retail sales Special projects as assigned by the General Manager Managing front-line staff of 35 employees Ability to work independently or without daily instruction/supervision Working knowledge of HACCP Food budget/cost controls Ensure proper food and physical safety standards are in place as well Follows proper cash controls
Position Summary
Manages all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and directly supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
