Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.

Prefer 1 year of direct nursing experience but will consider a strong new grad.

Good communication skills both written and oral.

Well developed interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with clinical team, patients and family members.

Ability to assess, plan and intervene and evaluate the physical, emotional and education needs of patients.

Basic keyboarding/typing skills.Previous experience using EMR system preferred.

This position may need to recognize needs and behaviors of age groups of patients treated in this case, prior experience with such age groups is required.

Current RN license in the State of Illinois.

CPR certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire.

For Radiology, ACLS certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire Must be able to successfully complete clinic~based training for all associates.

Ability to work with all levels of personnel.

Ability to work under stressful situations.

Frequent periods of extended standing and sitting. Possible lifting and assisting of patients.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

To provide a description of the expected performance of nurses who are responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in accordance with the nursing process. This nurse will collaborate with other health care disciplines in order to provide quality and continuity of care.

GENERAL NURSING REQUIREMENTS

~Demonstrates comprehension of the disease process, medical intervention and assessment through labs and other parameters.

~Demonstrates competence in administering IM, subcutaneous and intradermal medications.

~Demonstrates knowledge of common maintenance medications and nursing protocol to refill and advise.

~Demonstrates competency in suture/staple removal.

~Demonstrates ability in interpreting test results and notifies appropriate medical staff of results as necessary.

ALLERGY

~In addition to the general nursing requirements:

~Demonstrates ability to complete allergy skin testing.

ANTICOAGULATION CLINIC ~ (RAMI RIHANI)

~ Maintain INR in therapeutic range through careful monitoring, education and

knowledge of adverse factors as they affect Coumadin therapy.

~ To enhance the flow of patients on anticoagulation therapy and reduce the

amount of time mandated by MDs.

~ To safely and efficiently track patients on anticoagulation therapy, reducing

complications and hospitalizations.

~ Initiates communication to physician regarding initial visit and future visits

requiring dosing changes or concerns in patient care.

~ Develops plan of care with patient/family and updates according to change in needs.

~ Prepares patients for INR testing with monitored response and education per ACC protocol.

~ Constant education to patient and family of Warfarin Therapy and adverse

factors related to it. Encouraging questions from patient and family to offer

guidance for compliance.

~ Ordering Warfarin/Enoxaparin as approved per ACC policy and procedure.

~ Warfarin dosing changes as per ACC protocol

~ Consistently orders WB PT tests and PT/INR in system and results as
