Job Title: Financial Advisor
Pay: $15.87/hour ($33,000/year)
- 90 Business day Contract to Hire
- Possible raise when brought on perm
Location: Tempe, AZ
Hours of Operation: Applicants must be available during normal business hours Monday Friday 6:00am-7:00pm. After training a standard 8 hour shift will be scheduled.
- Potential for over time is available with occasional Saturdays
Job Overview:
The Financial Services Officer is primarily responsible for meeting with prospective and re-entering students to discuss financing options, assisting with various bookstore activities, and completing more complex activities such as month end reporting and resolution of problematic student files. In a highly regulated environment, this position is responsible for performing at a high customer service level in a fast paced environment while adhering to Title IV and other governing agency regulations. The Financial Services Officer is also responsible for training and mentoring less experienced Financial Service Officers, providing general administrative support, and assisting the Financial Services Director in meeting the goals of the department. The Financial Services Officer reports to the Financial Services Director.
Detailed responsibilities in this role include but not limited to
- Packaging of New Students
- Receives and Processes Student Payments
- Reconciles Student Accounts
- Supports Campus Purchasing
- Manages Bookstore Inventory (if applicable)
- Entrance/Exit Counseling
- Supports Quality in Financial Services
