Summary of Position:

Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely service of our Dine-In and Carry-Out guests.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greets all guests with enthusiasm and friendliness.
  • Answers guest questions about food, beverages and our facilities accurately and in a friendly manner.
  • Informs guests of specials and menu changes and makes recommendations the guests will enjoy.
  • Develops relationships with guests.
  • Provides guests with estimated waiting time.
  • Calls out name and number of party when orders are ready.
  • Delivers food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
  • Performs side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary service areas.
  • Monitors and observes guests’ dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the products and services, and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Fills in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the General Manager or Supervisor.
  • Accommodates guests whenever possible.
  • Relays messages to servers and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Makes ice cream, smoothies and coffee.
  • Periodically checks bathrooms to make sure they are stocked and sanitary.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
  • Carefully count drawer to ensure that money transactions are correct and accounted for.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience in Food Service.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
