Leads a team of country and regional marketers (as well as cross-functional partners) to develop and implement marketing/business

strategies/platforms for Rare Disease portfolio to achieve financial and strategic targets.

* Reports to the Emerging Markets Group Lead RD

* Works in close collaboration with BU/Cluster Leads and cross-functional partners

Organizational Relationships

This role will report into Emerging Markets Group Lead, Rare Diseases. The role will manage two Regional Brand Leads and four Country Brand Leads. It requires a highly cross-functional team work and also face-to-face interaction with external stakeholders such as KOLs, regulatory authorities and payers.

Financial Accountability

This role will be responsible of delivering the revenues for RD portfolio in EM. Expected 2016 sales are $96M, which is expected to grow to $196M in 2021. This role will manage an annual A&P budget of around $8M in 2017.

Supervision

The role will manage two Regional Brand Leads and four Country Brand Leads.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the Regional Therapeutic Area Lead (RTAL), LA, RD will be:

* Accountable for RD performance in LA. Secondary P&L accountability for the portfolio

* Leads Country Brand Leads (CBLs) and Regional Brand Leads to develop and execute asset specific strategies; leads cross-functional team to develop holistic business strategies to grow RD business

* Sets regional vision and direction for the therapeutic area (objectives, strategies, tactics for different sets customers)

* Responsible for extensive people management across a geographically dispersed virtual team, including enhancement of marketing capabilities

* Proactively works with CBLs and Country Leads to identify potential issues to budget delivery and initiates action plans mitigating any issues

* Proactively recommends Buy-Up opportunities to boost growth

* Drives innovation and Dare to Try projects in a highly competitive market

* Develops detailed tactical implementation plan to prepare for execution and tailors as appropriate for relevant market(s); aligns with other regional hubs and other groups in LA to leverage best practices

* Obtains external and internal insights to inform strategy, messaging, tactics; gathers thorough competitive intelligence; generates market research requests and helps compile market feedback from CBLs

* Plans/forecasts, spends, and tracks brand budgets at regional level

* Tracks revenue performance and relevant launch uptake metrics; designs interventions to mitigate risks or leverage opportunities through business cases all-year-round (including P&Ls)

* Develops and executes regional pre-POA and POA and oversees CBLs' training of Field Force (local POA) or product and market training

* Proactively and cost-effectively streamlines promotional efforts; seeks opportunities to more effectively execute marketing activities to free CBLs time to focus on customers-facing

* Establishes cross-functional teams and interface with regional head and country stakeholders through effective matrix management

* Identifies, develops and manages effective relationships with customers, which have regional reach, and ensures that Pfizer is positioned as a leading, innovative and ethical provider of healthcare solutions

This role will also be responsible of the products depending on prioritization:

* Rapamune, Somavert, Uplyso

* Pipeline programs

* Potential assets coming through BD dealsQualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Fluency in English is required, Spanish is preferred

* Bachelor degree required, MBA is preferred

* 10 years+ of diverse commercial experience

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

* Strong leader with solid examples of building effective teams and coaching individuals towards higher performance, experience in virtual management of teams is preferred

* Ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships with different cultures to influence; networking skills; strong customer focus (e.g., ability to achieve win/win resolutions with key stakeholders)

* Ability to synthesize complex information and distill critical customer driven insights

* Experience of accurate revenue forecasting and assumption generation

* Ability to frame projects to clearly define objectives, work plan, key stakeholders, and decision-making process

* Proven experience in execution -- ability to bring strategy and analysis to a tactical level and get projects started and drive to completion

* Ability to rebalance priorities on a regular basis and to quickly assume responsibility in a multi-tasking environment

* Previous successes of marketing innovation impacting results and leadership of change or DtT projects
