AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions --- International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. **Job Summary**

**This position may be located within the Continental United States (CONUS) or in another overseas (OCONUS) location to be determined at a later date.**

Purpose and Scope:

Move and process repairable and serviceable parts between maintenance activities and into Base Supply. Handle serviceable and unserviceable materials and route them in accordance with applicable regulations. Perform cleaning/sanitizing of office/common areas in accordance with Contract requirements. Specific tasking for this position can be located in the applicable work center Job Qualification Standards (JQS). The following represents general duties and responsibilities this position will be required to complete.

Hazardous Material Handling Specialist - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Receives, issues, and process hazardous material. As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's hazardous material storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed hazardous storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. May load and offload transportation devices.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Manually loads or unloads fright cars, trucks, or other transporting devices.

+ Unpack, shelve, or place items in proper storage locations. Transport goods by hand truck, cart, wheelbarrow or forklift.

+ Prepare DIFM or TIN by placing them in reusable containers, the specific operations performed being dependent upon the type, size, and number of units to be packed along with the type of container employed.

+ Comply with all applicable contractual programs and regulations, i.e. tools, safety, security, HAZMAT, support equipment, housekeeping and FOD prevention programs.

+ Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage.

+ Route materials to prescribed storage locations.

+ Store, stack or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

+ Rearrange, inventory and examine stored materials; reporting deterioration/damage.

+ Remove material from storage and prepare it for issue/TIN.

+ Process inputs to SBSS/CAMS and other computer systems as required.

+ Perform janitorial duties for office areas, common areas and latrines.

+ This position is contingent upon task order award and customer needs.

+ Must meet security clearance requirements.

+ This position has a rotating shift.

+ When required, you may be subject to shift changes, weekend, holiday and overtime work.

+ Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training can be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements.

+ In accordance with the contract, all personnel performing work require United States citizenship or acceptable proof of naturalization prior to employment.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

**Minimum Requirements**

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Prior computer skills desired. Must have a working knowledge in the use of common cleaning materials. Use of general cleaning tools and equipment is required. Must be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds, standing on stepladders and reaching overhead to change light bulbs, dusting, etc. Night work may be required. A valid vehicle operator license is required. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel. May require OSHA compliance training and certification. Workers shall possess a minimum of four years general supply experience of which at least two years' experience was spent performing hazardous warehouse duties.
