PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:
Anticipate and fulfill the needs of internal and external customers by coordinating the material flow with production order schedules in a proper sequence to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
BASIC JOB DUTIES:
* Review and take appropriate action on ERP suggestions to include but not limited to:
* Perform inventory transactions (receipts/issues/transfers)
* Firm/Release work orders
* Complete As-Build Configuration Pay up Sheets
* Electronic traceability of all fabricated hardware
* Schedule/initiate subassembly and subcontract material procurement whole providing manufacturing support through expediting effort.
* Monitor inventory transactions to assure material is being processed in an accurate and timely manner. Identify and communicate potential delays and/or problems to internal and external customers which may impede finished goods delivery.
* Review, approve and implement Engineering Change Notices into ERP system.
* Minimize manufacturing shortages and inventory investment while meeting commitments to customer orders, in support with the plan objectives and goals. Contacts first-level supervisor relative to special handlings, availability of materials, delays and changes in promise dates and material control section for material shortages and vendors' delivery promises.
* Maintain high levels of communication with all departments to ensure optimum flow of materials and information status through production phases. Also, demonstrate total ownership of all aspects of material/production planning for assigned product lines by attending status meetings and issuing reports to meet internal/external demands.
* Support and back-up for ship audit.
* Routine Departmental administrative support duties.
* Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS REQUIRED:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years MRP/ERP experience
* APICS Certification preferred
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Word
* Good organizational and planning skills.
* General knowledge of manufacturing flow process and company practices and procedures.
