The Bell/Door Person/Concierge is responsible for providing assistance to guests and front desk; to expedite guest luggage on check-in and check-out to the standard expected of the hotel; is familiar with and complies with the Hotels standards and philosophy in performing all areas of key accountability and other essential duties and responsibilities. In addition to the Door Person requirements, this position will provide service to clients by booking tours, making restaurant reservations, finding tickets to events, and other guest requests.

Key Areas of Accountability:
- Escorts incoming and outgoing hotel guests to and from rooms, assists with luggage
and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of
interest, and entertainment attractions.
- Inspects guest's room to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.
- Explains features of room such as operation of radio, television, DVD, DSL etc.
- Delivers faxes, packages, suitcases, and trunks and show rooms when necessary.
- Greets guests at front door or curb upon arrival.
- Responsible in arranging/booking transportation and tours.
- Concierge duties. (restaurant reservations, amenity arrangement/delivery, massage, reply to email inquiries, directions etc.)
- Performs valet duties limited to moving cars just in front of the hotel & white zone.
- Maintains the image of the hotel by appearing extremely presentable, well groomed and in a pressed uniform.
- Adheres to key control policy and procedure according to set standards.
- Driver duties: Will pick up and take hotel guests to SFO using the hotel luxury car.
- Adheres to the Orchard Hotel Mission/Standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers messages and runs errands.
- Picks up and delivers articles for laundry and valet service.
- Tidies lobby, front door and polish the bell carts.
- Issues valet tickets in the absence of our valet attendant. But are only allowed to move the guest's car within the hotel's white zone.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.


*Education/Experience:
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
-1 yr prior exp in hotels in front of the house customer service position or 3 yrs experience in high volume customer service position.
-Able to demonstrate knowledge of San Francisco tourist attractions, restaurants and city events.
-Organized and detail oriented
-Ability to listen and communicate with international guests. 2nd language not required but a plus for this position.
- Must have current CA drivers license and clear DMV driving record.
