A client of mine on the northwest side of Indianapolis is looking for a Build Shop Technician to join their team!
The mechanic will be working in a small shop next to their main hub and will be responsible for assembling and building their mobile mechanics service vehicles. They will be taking truck beds designed by Warner bodies and adding them to the Sprinter Van cabs or Ford's pickup cabs. These trucks will then go to the mobile mechanics in the field. Things that these techs will be responsible for will be bolting and attaching components to the truck, basic wire harness running, potential basic welding, and sub assembly. Installing oil tank, compressors, air tanks and other equipment. Mainly they will be bolting components that the techs use in the field to their trucks. A basic diesel or trailer mechanic could do this job. Other potentials would be veterans from the Army that have heavy mechanic backgrounds. They need to be mechanically inclined, and be able to take direction well. There will be some basic work instructions, but most direction will come from their supervisor.
Location: NW Side of Indianapolis
Shift: 1st shift
Pay: $18-21/hour
