Qualifications:

  • Outstanding work ethic. The intern must be willing to work odd hours, do manual labor (event planning requires a lot of hands-on, physical work including site set-up/take-down, taking supplies to/from storage facilities, etc.) and work through the elements (events go on – rain or shine – or snow!).
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-through. Three Event Managers will at different times supervise the intern. It is important that the intern be able to prioritize projects, ask for direction when needed and follow through on the completion of tasks.

  • Excellent organization skills.  Being detail oriented and very organized is essential to the success of any event.  Our events are very multifaceted, and the event organizers must have every aspect planned well in advance.
  • Excellent problem solving skills. When planning events, unforeseen obstacles arise, more often than not. The ability to gather the necessary information in order to make decisions is a very important trait for the intern to have.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Positive attitude.
  • Applicants are required to be enrolled in or just graduated from an accredited school (University/College/Trade School)
