POSITION PURPOSE

The Associate Communications Specialist (Graphics) will be responsible for all associate-facing visual communications including graphics support of high-value print publications, responsive web portals, internal social media sites, and presentation material. The position will interface with a variety of clients from multiple functional areas and will have exposure to executive leadership. Responsibilities include design of internal event signage, collateral items, web and social media content, internal print materials, presentations for speaking engagements, proposals, infographics, assets for internal communication channels, and vendor coordination. Additional responsibilities include creating and managing internal brand standards for print and online assets. 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • 50% Professional print collateral design, development, proofing, and process management
  • 30% Online collateral design and development
  • 20% Client engagement, brainstorming sessions, requirements gathering, and project management
NATURE AND SCOPE
  • Position reports to Project Manager (Graphics) of Portal, Social, & Print Communications.
  • No direct reports. 
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass Background Check.
  • Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

Education Required:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2-3 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong familiarity with offset and digital printing is required, with a solid understanding of web and online production.
  • Professional graphic design skills and expert-level knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience managing graphic design, print production, distribution and fulfillment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Photography and video editing skills preferred but not required.
