RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet guests to make them feel comfortable and welcome
  • Take guests’ food orders and handle cash and credit transactions
  • Follow Noodles & Company’s operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling andsafety/security to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
  • Serve food to guests in a courteous and timely manner
  • Quickly and accurately prepare food items including prep, noodles, salads, soups, sandwiches
  • Check food quality and food temperatures throughout the day to ensure that food is fresh and safe to serve
  • Follow sanitation and safety procedures including knife handling and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant and ensures proper set up and/or breakdown of the entire restaurant including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, and prep areas
  • Effectively handle guest concerns and complaints
  • Work as a team to prepare the restaurant for each shift
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture of Noodles & Company
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Contributes to a positive team environment
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent guest service skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
EXPERIENCE
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Standing/walking: Remaining on one’s feet in an upright position at a work station or moving about a work area. 75% or more of the time.
  • Sitting: Remaining in the normal seated position. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Carrying: Moving an object, usually by holding it in hands or arms or on shoulders. Weights vary from 20 lbs (75% of the time) to 55 lbs (up to 25% of the time).
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another using hands, arms and/or shoulders, back and legs. Weights vary from 20 lbs (75% of the time) to 55 lbs (up to 25% of the time).
  • Pushing/pulling: Exerting force on an object so that the object moves away from/toward the force.Weights vary from 25 lbs (26%-74% of the time) to 100 lbs (up to 25% of the time).
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending body down at the waist. 26% to 74% of the time.
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at the knees to come to rest on knee or knees. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Crawling: Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. 75% or more of the time.
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise performing precision work with hands. 75% or more of the time.
  • Knife handling for cutting and food preparation. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Bending/twisting: Continual, intermittent flexion or rotation of the wrist or spine. 75% or more of the time.
  • Grill/Sauté Exposure: Use of/proximity to grill or sauté on a regular basis. Heat exposure. 26% to 74% of the time.
  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. 75% or more of the time.
  • Hearing: Receiving detail information through oral communication. 75% or more of the time.
  • Tasting/smelling: Distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors. Up to 25% of the time.
  • Computer usage or other special equipment to be operated. 26% to 74% of the time.
  • Washing dishes/cleaning: Exposure to water and cleaning chemicals. 26% to 74% of the time.
