The PA Supervisor is responsible for ensuring customer service goals are met through supervision of staff and effective workflow processes, to include prior authorization, census management, adverse determinations, pended claims and appeals research. The PA Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily activities, team performance, and day-to-day operations for up to 15 employees.
 
*** This position is located onsite at our facility at 2716 N. Tenaya Way in Las Vegas, NV***
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision to assigned staff, assists in hiring decisions, and enact appropriate disciplinary actions
Monitor and direct daily workload of non-clinical staff. Identify changes in priority and redirect tasks as needed to accomplish department and company goals
Collaborate with Workforce to adjust staff schedules to ensure department coverage as needed
Monitor and ensure compliance with policy, procedures and processes

Collaborate with Quality, Training and Development to create/modify job aids for non-clinical staff
Monitor and ensure compliance with policy, procedures and processes

Assists in the development and initiation of quality improvement and efficiency measures

Monitors compliance with policies, procedures, laws and regulations

Monitoring of productivity and quality measures of non-clinical staff

Performing performance reviews on an annual basis and one-to-one meetings on a monthly basis

Ability to communication clearly both verbally and in writing

Handle shifting priorities
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Minimum three years healthcare experience
Minimum 2 years leadership/supervisory or comparable experience in healthcare facility
HS Diploma or GED
Be able to handle multiple issues at one time, all while remaining professional, and pleasant to staff and customers
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong leadership skills, excellent staff development and team building skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues under stringent deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of insurance products
Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding
Intermediate Windows applications skills
Must live within a commutable distance (50 miles or 50 minutes) of Las Vegas, NV
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior authorization experience
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements

Associates degree or higher
