As Marketing Project Manager, you will:

Support hotel sales goals through management of marketing communications in traditional and emerging media, and provide support for corporate regional and hotel sales and marketing projects and activities.

Duties include:

  • Managing, monitoring, editing and approving the magnet mail development andprocess to meet regulations and Interstate standards process
  • Collaborating with Sr. Dir Marketing Communications hotel collateral production:
    • Directs and tracks collateral production jobs to ensure timely completion, brand standards, and budget parameters are met.
    • Reduces hotel’s marketing expenses through cost savings on printing.
    • Manages graphic designer and printer in production of collateral; may involve print bidding and printer price negotiation; may involve writing copy and selecting hotel product photography and/or stock photography.
  • Works with EVP Sales and marketing on projects, research, presentations as needed.
  • Collects, analyzes and prepares reports and presentations in collaboration with the EVP Sales.
  • Assists with corporate regional teams and revenue management presentations and ad hoc reports including: Monthly/Weekly STR reports, trend reports, special reports, and comp set changes as requested.
  • Web site/e-commerce marketing projects, which may involve attending web site design meetings in collaboration with VP Electronic Marketing.
  • Assist SVP Sales with ISU sales training: marketing sales classes to the field, logistics, registration.
  • Provide ongoing internal and external communication regarding IHR marketing department activities and support by creating and distributing a IHR Marketing eNewsletter.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • Administration of eMail Marketing Program
    • Platform / Platform liaison with Real Magnet
    • Management of sub accounts and users credentials
    • Daily Management of email campaigns submitted to centralized queue (communicate and educate users when standards not met, work to revise)
    • Training of hotel users, in conjunction with service provider and one on one
    • Exchange of best practices and ROI case studies
      • Create and distribute the Monthly education and best practices newsletter
    • Distribute Quarterly guidance manual for seasonality planning strategies, holiday deadlines, and education to maximize the calendar events of the quarter
    • Usage Audit and Communication to VPS
    • Manage and Continually Update a Central Template Library
    • Audit and processing of monthly bill; process annual program fee
  • Administration of Sales Program & Department Communications
    • Curate Content, Design, proof with Senior management, and distribute
      • departmental program announcements,
      • sales incentive program announcements and results
      • sales incentive cruise program spotlights / interim promotional pieces
      • Monthly Interleads Cross selling promotional communique
  • Conference Support / Organization Development / Training Support
    • At direction of event producer:
      • Liaison with curriculum instructors on logistics/format/collection of final files for breakout content
      • Managing the submission and tracking of vendor invoices – from contract to payment
      • Attendee Management: point of contract with registration vendor to craft, distribute and manage the attendee database. Liaison with host hotel on sleeping rooms and special needs
      • With direction and material provided, design and mange proof process for attendee communique related to event (pre and post email campaigns)
      • Onsite logistical support
    • Events to include:
      • Annual Sales Conference
      • Annual ISU Training Program
      • Bi Annual Global Leadership Conference
      • Possible Divisional/Discipline specific conferences
      • Any other Interstate corporate focus client/owner events

Fundamentals

Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree highly preferred. 2-5 years of experience in a similar/related role, preferably in hotels or with a hotel management company. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Copy writing. Understanding of print and digital marketing methods and functions; strong detail orientation and solid communication skills.
