RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Event Specialist: Responsible for reviewing program materials, set up and break down of the work area, and the preparation and sampling of products on scheduled event days.
  • Brand Ambassador: Brand awareness, positive product impressions and increased sales through product demonstration, customer engagement and effective communication of brand talking points.
  • Retail Merchandiser: Maintain full distribution on existing SKUs and ensuring signage are in place and the placement of new items at all assigned stores.
  • Project/Reset Merchandiser: Implement customer approved schematics/Plan-O-Grams/MODs with all items tagged and approved by store management.
  • Must be able to take direction regarding tagging, rotating and placing products on shelf.
  • Administration/Reporting: Will complete (web based) accurate and timely reporting, recaps, timesheets, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent job-related experience.
  • Experience in event marketing, demonstrations, sales, merchandising, brand promotion or retail/grocery.
  • Interact in a friendly, enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing manner with clients and consumers in any setting.
  • Ability to work a part-time retail schedule, Monday through Sunday; travel required for training or other scheduled events.
  • Basic computer skills and internet usage, as well as, daily access to a PC computer with internet/email access.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment.
  • Ability to work independently, follow specific instructions or procedures and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Engage in physical activity, lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand (up to 6 hours a day), stoop and bend for long periods of time, potential use of cleaning chemicals and work in environments susceptible to temperature changes i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Specialist : The Event Specialist generates excitement, customer engagement, brand awareness, and increased product sales through conducting event demonstrations. He/she is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and cleaning the demonstration area; actively marketing the product being demonstrated by physically approaching nearby shoppers to gain their attention and interest; preparing and providing samples or otherwise demonstrating the product; and reading program materials as assigned.

Promotional Sales Specialist : The Promotional Sales Specialist is the primary in store and product ambassador. He/she is expected to have deep knowledge of the product they are representing and will be expected to create a dynamic and memorable experience for consumers by generating strong consumer engagement and using a proactive approach to promoting and selling the product they are representing. The associate will also be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down their demonstration area(s).

Brand Ambassador : The Brand Ambassador generates excitement, brand awareness, and increases product sales through event sampling and promotion. The individual will interact with consumers, clients, customers, and is responsible for understanding and implementing promotional techniques. This position will perform a wide range of activities ranging from brand promotion, training, product merchandising, and selling of products and services.

Project Merchandiser : The Project Merchandiser performs various projects and functions at assigned retail locations such as product reporting, placement of new items, maintaining product distribution, merchandising, conducting resets and maintaining schematic standards, placing point of sale material, building promotional displays, and building and maintaining positive customer relations.

Retail Reset Merchandiser : The Retail Reset Merchandiser is responsible for merchandising Client and Customer products, conducting resets and maintaining schematic standards at retail accounts within an assigned territory to ensure standards are met and volume is increased.

Retail Sales Merchandiser II : The Retail Sales Merchandiser II is responsible for reporting of, servicing, and selling to retail accounts within an assigned territory to ensure Client and Customer standards are met and volume is increased.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
