Construction Field Technician
Toledo, OH
$15/hour + eligibility for pay increases
60-80 hours/week
OT for anything past 40 hours/week
MUST HAVES:
- Candidates must have their own vehicle & a valid driver's license to travel, even though much of the travel will be with others, carpooling.
- Must have experience working at heights (i.e. roofing, using scaffolding, etc.)
- Must have some manual labor/construction experience
- Year-round position with no lay-offs in the winter, so candidates must be willing to work in both summer & winter climates.
OVERVIEW:
- Field Technicians will be responsible for travelling to job sites throughout the Midwest servicing industrial cooling towers, typically within OH, MI, IN, and PA, but can be elsewhere.
- Job duties will require working 40-60 feet in the air
- Construction responsibilities on the cooling towers will include erecting wood, tightening bolts, using power tools to cut and grind wood, and reading blueprints for the construction projects.
- Cleaning the towers using a pressure washer (under 2500 psi)
- Also doing general cleanup such as hauling lumber, or taking out trash
- Field Technicians will be out on a job site for 1-4 weeks at a time, and then will return home for about 1 week. Working between 65-80hours/week when on job sites. Paid time and a half for overtime
- Per diem, gas reimbursement, and mileage pay are provided, as well.
- Will at times travel together with crews of 5-10.
