About this job

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Pays jackpots to slot personnel.
  2. Orders monies through exchange slips.
  3. Receives proceeds and tips; records on counts slips and releases to authorized Main Bank.
  4. Verifies exchanges from other windows and receipt transactions for various gaming cashiers.
  5. Delivers exchanges to cashiers up front and makes up slot and table games transactions using a computer.
  6. Using coin, coin wrappers and currency counters, counts down station for switch over, puts coin away and verifies money received from main bank.
  7. Starts-up till and balances the till at the end of shift.
  8. Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  9. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  10. Attends all necessary training meetings.
  11. Assists in other projects, as directed.
  12. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.  Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
  13. Performs other related reasonable duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
  14. Performs all cage-related transactions efficiently and accurately with guests.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
  • Six (6) months of previous cashier experience is preferred.
  • Previous banking experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of start-up and close-down of cash registers is preferred.
  • Knowledge/operational skills of coin counter, coin wrapping machine and currency counters preferred.
  • Good 10-key calculator skills are required.
  • Good math skills are required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
