JOB SUMMARY:  Requires strong interpersonal skills, organization skills, computer skills and keen attention to detail. The successful candidate will be comfortable with interacting with guests through phone and email, working with computers, and working independently on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the Senior Catering Specialist with any tasks at hand

  • Utilize various computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Coordinate meetings and conference calls

  • Provide follow up notes on meetings and conference calls

  • Prepare agendas for meetings with help from supervisor

  • Create fundraiser flyers

  • Assist catering specialists with any materials they may need

  • Interact with guests through phone and/or email.

  • Take orders from clients via phone and/or email.

  • Place orders with restaurants. Confirm orders with restaurants

  • Follow up with clients through phone and/or email to ensure they are happy with the products they received and that it was delivered in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that clients/guests receive the highest level of customer service and hospitality at all times.

  • Manage and resolve customer complaints by way of reaching out to correct restaurant, Area Manager, and DOO/RVP.

  • Utilize Caterease to log in all customer interactions, orders, and feedback.

  • Other assigned duties per Senior Catering Specialist

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence to interact professionally with internal team members, businesses, and clients.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • The ability to work independently.

  • H.S. Diploma

  • Ability to work an occasional weekend day.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office including Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as proficient data entry and typing skills.

  • Restaurant or catering background preferred.

  • Previous call center experience preferred.

  • Previous administrative experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to remain in a seated position for sustained periods of time.

  • Ability to use hands for reaching, handling papers, picking up telephone, typing on a computer, etc.
  • Ability to lift or carry 20 pounds.
