Dental Assistant

Nisswa Smiles has an opening for a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant to join our team!

Job Duties:
~Provide chair side assistance to the dentist so that the patient receives proper care.
~Take x-rays, perform charting and treatment planning duties.
~Ability to assist the dentist in all aspects of general dentistry, including but not limited to, CEREC crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, fillings and impressions.
~Clean dental operatory after each use and sterilize rooms, instruments, and equipment.
~Follow all infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard free environment for staff and patients.
~Assist with front desk responsibilities, appointment scheduling, and other administrative duties as needed.
~Checking dental inventory and ordering dental supplies as needed.
~Work cooperatively with the dental staff, consultants and patients to ensure the health care needs of the patients served are met.

Qualifications:
~Licensure and/or registration as a Dental Assistant
~Knowledge of common oral hygiene techniques, dental terminology, and standard dental equipment and methods.
~Ability to operate x-ray equipment, chart mouths and teeth, keep records and maintain files, help patients stay calm, sterilize instruments and equipment, and assist in a dental operatory.
~Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
~Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
~Experience in EagleSoft, CEREC, accounts receivable and insurance billing is preferred but not required.
