Summary

Account Director

The Account Director –Multicultural Events reports to the VP/Retail and is responsible for increasing sales for all retailer product lines and increasing revenue. Management skills include: leading sales for all Eventus retailer-focused programs and working closely with the internal customer teams (i.e. marketing, retailtainment, category managers, etc.), suppliers, and agencies to establish mutually-beneficial, revenue-generating platforms and/or programs by presenting and selling promotional proposals and sponsorships. This role reports directly to VP Client Services at Eventus (www.eventuslive.com). Eventus is the multicultural agency partner of Advantage Solutions, Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Customer Client Service Director and Client Service team in the coordination of all the client’s activation pieces included and/not limited to customer activations as well as supplier activations at retailer.
  • Plans for and achieves revenue goals. This should include the development of a concise target list of existing clients and potentially new clients for each program.
  • Builds business by networking and using/implementing industry tools (sponsorship newsletters, trade magazines, LinkedIn, etc.) to identify decision-makers.
  • Prospects for new accounts. Generates leads through relevant media depending on the nature of the program.
  • Prepares proposals and presentations for sales calls. Generates interest and participation in opportunities by coordinating, developing and presenting proposals.
  • Works closely with agencies and brands. Develops relationships and tools to encourage further communication with regard to setting up appointments based on targeted prospects.


Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree with emphasis in advertising, marketing or media preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience preferably in multicultural marketing, advertising or sponsorship sales
  • Ability to set and achieve sales goals, plan and create create sales strategies and effectively solve problems
  • Thorough understanding of multicultural market, particularly Hispanic
  • Bilingual a plus
