Role Summary:

               The Catering Assistant Director (Operations) serves on the Quality Leadership Team providing organization to restaurant catering ensuring our Recipe for Service standard is met and focuses on operational excellence in the kitchen. The Catering Assistant Director (Operations) works with all kitchen teams and is responsible for overseeing the total quality of catering production. This individual fosters kitchen team unity and delivers the highest quality products by meeting Chick-fil-A Anywhere standards. This individual must have a passion for service, excellence and people. The Catering Assistant Director (Operations) reports directly to the Director of Quality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Catering orders are taken carefully and entered into POS correctly.
  • Oversees assembly of food according to each build chart to ensure food is assembled properly.
  • Compares everything to checklist to ensure complete order before it leaves restaurant.
  • Ensures timely preparation and delivery of all Chick-fil-A Catering orders.
  • Commits to in-depth knowledge of procedures and follows them.
  • Checks in with local health departments for catering requirements
  • Communicates to the team awareness of all catering orders to ensure timely preparation and delivery.
  • Maintains a Catering calendar and monitors weekly for large catering events.
  • Monitors to ensure that all Chick-fil-A Catering Standards are met.
  • Maintains TMS containers.
  • Ensures sufficient catering supplies are maintained and available for orders. (large and small boxes, ice bags, and buckets, utensils, etc.)
  • Makes sure condiment kits and catering sheets are on hand and fully stocked in restaurant.
  • Ensure all policies and Quality/Standards are upheld Delivering the Food
    • Deliver hot food at or above 140°F and cold food at or below 40°F.
    • Deliver only CFA approved products.
  • Creates a culture of “continuous improvement” with Chick-fil-A Catering.
  • Seek opportunities to deliver an aspect of 2nd Mile Service on every order.
  • Maintains use of Restaurant Quality Assessment (RQA) Anywhere Quality Photo Deck
  • Strategically use the RQA Anywhere throughout the month, identifying key evaluation opportunities as each delivery is prepared.
  • After RQA Anywhere evaluations, discuss your results with your team and implement changes.
  • Strives to maintain a healthy working relationship with both the front and back of house.
  • Meets weekly with Quality Leadership Team as strategic partner.
  • Communicates effectively and timely to Team Members and Leadership.
  • Catering Manager supports the Director of Quality

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience: Two years restaurant/management experience
  • ServSafe Certification (Or to be obtained within three months of employment).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Able to use touch-sensitive POS System.
  • Able to lift minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays (closed Thanksgiving/Christmas).
