This awesome addition to our team will be responsible and accountable for supervising the Company's insurance program and vendors, to include general liability, property, employment practices, automotive with a heavy emphasis on Workers' Compensation. Additionally, this position provides oversight of EPLI, D&O, and crime loss claims as needed.

Establishes interface guidelines with all parties to include, insurance adjusters, vendors and legal team for insurance claims by providing leadership in claims management.
Oversees and audits claim loss financials, to include claim paid and reserve losses.
Manages the tender of losses, subrogation and legal activities through vendor management, to include discovery, investigations, legal proceedings and settlement conferences.
Analyzes the claims exposure to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately settle a claim.
Oversees the workers' compensation return to work program through insurance partner.
Creates accurate reports, narratives and financial information as needed. Uses available data to track claims trends and other claim related metrics.
Ensures compliance of all State and Federal claim related laws, legislation, regulations and compliance issues.
Partners with vendor loss prevention and Rubio's Safety Team to reduce injuries and losses.
Participates with the Safety Team on the creation of training for claims related loss prevention.
Assists and supports Business Continuity plans.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience within the CA claims or risk management industry. Certification with ARM, CPCU or other relevant associations are highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years related experience in Workers' Compensation, a combination of General Liability and Worker's Compensation claims or risk management. Must have a successful track record of managing the activities of defense counsel to expedite settlement and to control loss costs.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of claims and California Workers' Compensation. Hands-on working knowledge of Worker's Compensation programs and General Liability. Working knowledge of creating loss and claim analysis through excel.
Language Skills: Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills. Must have the ability to speak effectively with insurance business partners. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is required.
Other Skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office. Working ability within a claims system.
Other: A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required. Individual must have reliable transportation and be able to travel by airplane or automobile up to 30% of the time.
