Overnight Stocker

The Overnight Stocker is primarily responsible for stocking items on the shelves and assisting with the unloading of items delivered to the store. 

OVERNIGHT STOCKER DUTIES

1. Stock items on the shelves in a neat, visually pleasing manner.
2. Assist in stocking items in special displays. 
3. Prepare the backroom for receiving of new merchandise.
4. Unloading vendor trucks and sorting cases/pallets by aisle for stocking.
5. Checking merchandise on the shelves for freshness dates and removing unacceptable items.
6. Count and record merchandise for inventory purposes.
7. Work to maintain a clean, safe store at all times.
8. Inspect deliveries for shortages or damaged product.
9. Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals to clean floors, cashier stands, carts, restrooms, parking lots and shelves.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Strong service mentality is a must-have.
2. In addition to other aspects listed in a full job description, applicants should be able to lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis, twist, bend, squat, stand and walk repeatedly and for long periods of time. 
3. Must show attention to detail.
4. Able to demonstrate a professional, courteous demeanor when addressing customer concerns and in dealings with team members.

Salad Bar Clerk

A Salad Bar Clerk assists customers in their shopping experience by keeping the salad bar stocked with fresh, high quality product in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible. 

SALAD BAR CLERK DUTIES

The following is a list of key duties for for a Salad Bar Clerk within Cosentino's Food Stores. Other required areas of responsibility are listed in a full job description.
1. Prepare, display, and package salad bar contents in a safe, visually appealing manner. 
2. Prepare freshly made salads daily and cut fresh items to be sold on the salad bar. 
3. Actively monitor quality and freshness of salad bar, including temperature and other health, sanitation and safety aspects. 
4. Utilize proper rotation techniques. 
5.Quickly unload incoming shipments and neatly stock items in their designated areas without damaging merchandise. 
6. Able to operate, clean, and maintain all equipment safely and competently. 
7. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be at least 18 years if age
2. Must obtain a food handling permit.
3. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are requireded due to a high level of customer interaction.
4. Basic math, reading and writing skills are required.
5. Among other physical requirement listed in a full job description, applicants must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. during a shift, walk and stand for long periods, and bend/squat all the way to the floor if needed.
6. Must be able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
