The Maintenance Tech II functions as a team member within the Keystone Valley Maintenance Department. This position requires the ability to make competent decisions while thinking of the customers and resorts interest at all times and using skill-based knowledge to perform assigned tasks in a professional manner at all times with a constant focus on efficiency and quality of work. People skills are essential, planning, control, communication and completion of tasks on time and to quality are important. The ability to work in a stressed environment at time and still maintain customer focus, team engagement and efficiency are important.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assure that the integrity of the property and resort assets is maintained.
  • Assure all work performed conform to all applicable state and local codes.
  • Implement and supervise preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provide training to maintenance staff when required in job specific tasks.
  • Coordinate projects with sub-contractors when required.
  • Order and maintain required parts for stock for critical equipment for assigned areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and alert supervisor to any unsafe conditions that may exist.
  • Work with other departments and area managers as required.
  • Posses your own hand tools and keeps them in a safe functional manner at all times.
  • Keep required paperwork and job logs updated daily.
  • Be available to take on call for after hour work when required.
  • Experience in appliance installation and troubleshooting.
  • Very knowledgeable with plumbing and systems, electrical, controls and kitchen equipment
  • Abide by all safety rules and regulations from corporate, State and Federal.
  • Attend training classes for job specific skills, Epro, Hotsos and other systems as required.
  • Make list of items for continuous improvement of the property.
  • Maintain good attitude and people skills even during high-pressure situations, be a good leader.

 

 Job Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2 years of plumbing or trade school
  • Minimum 2 years general building maintenance, including construction
  • Minimum 2 years Plumbing in maintenance or as an installer
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical experience
  • Must be very experienced on industrial kitchen equipment
  • Minimum 2 years of painting, carpentry, and drywall
  • Ability to understand and read blue prints
  • More than basic HVAC knowledge
