POSITION PURPOSE
The Leadership Training Manager (LTM) ensures the quality delivery of leadership and business acumen curricula to retail leaders. The LTM supports the divisional and regional management teams on large-scale events and provides local leadership development support as needed. The LTM also oversees and facilitates training and development for retail leaders. The LTM partners with senior leaders within the organization to gain their support before, during, and after training to help ensure successful delivery and the transfer of learning to the job. The LTM partners with the learning design team, Program Manager and functional subject matter experts to ensure the quality and relevance of training courses. The LTM partners with the Program Manager to establish metrics to continuously improve learning effectiveness.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • 75% Ensure quality delivery of leadership and business acumen training to retail leaders by 
  • teaching classes and hosting events. 
  • * 15% Continuously improve the HDU curriculum by partnering with the learning design team, Program Manager and functional subject matter experts to update, develop and maintain leadership and business acumen courses. Measure and improve training effectiveness. 
  • * 10% Support the development of leaders through divisional/regional learning events, implementation of salaried training programs, consultation and support on projects as needed. Attend divisional and regional meetings when appropriate.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Reports to the Director of Learning Delivery
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
This job requires you to be on your feet approximately 75% of the time as hosting events and teaching classes are the core responsibilities of this job. There are other times that you may be sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. There is often a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 10 pounds).MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Physical Requirements:
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

  • * Bachelors degree in business, education, or a related field 
  • * Multi-unit leadership experience 
  • * Retail management experience 
  • * 5 years in retail industry or Home Depot equivalent. 
  • * Experience in the facilitation of instructor led training with a solid understanding of adult learning principles
