About this job
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to perform medical duties as an EMT and/or Paramedic. Employees in this classification perform highly skilled, technical level work.
The EMT-B/Security Officer is responsible for providing life and property protection, responding to emergency rescue and medical incidents, providing emergency medical treatment (including medical and trauma emergencies), and providing support functions (including vehicle and equipment maintenance, emergency responses, records and reporting duties). Starting rate for qualified candidates is $14 per hour!
Duties include:
- Providing emergency medical services for our client
- Acting as a first responder for all types of emergency situations
- Serving as a paramedic on 911 or transport ambulances
- Responding to all rescue calls
- Ensuring that equipment is fully prepared and functional at all times
- Performing general maintenance and upkeep of apparatus and equipment
- Performing and documenting required equipment inspections as assigned
- Preparing various reports and other documents
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Former, transitioning and military reserve personnel
- Former and future law enforcement officers
- Hospitality and customer service professionals
- College students
- Retirees
Qualifications
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
- Demonstrate a stable work history
- Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)
Education
Candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
- Possess at least a high school education or equivalent (GED)
