You will take two chair lift rides to this location.  Zephyr Lodge is located on the mountain at the top of the Tahoe Zephyr Express lift.  The newest on-mountain restaurant and bar, the Zephyr Lodge features an open floor plan, large timbers and a huge window wall offering spectacular views of the Pacific Crest.  Enjoy a variety of internationally-inspired menu options including noodle and rice bowls, upscale grill, gourmet pizza, specialty soups and a salad bar.  Open 8:30-4. The Lead Lodge Attendant is responsible for overseeing all general restaurant duties, including but not limited to: bussing tables, stocking, handling trash and recyclables, maintaining cleanliness of service areas, bathrooms and kitchen, dishwashing, and shoveling snow. The Lead Food and Beverage Attendant position is one of the most important in our lodge, with a lot of potential opportunities for learning valuable on-the-job skills and sense of responsibility.  Attendants are responsible for gathering dirty dishes, restocking clean dishes, maintaining organized and functional storage areas, upholding cleanliness standards for the guest service areas, and maintaining general cleanliness of the dining room and lodge.  The Lead will work along side the team, delegate tasks, and ensure they are completed properly.  They also help with other restaurant duties as needed.  Proactively communicating with supervisors and teammates will be critical for your success.

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Full responsibility for cleanliness and organization of facility, including interior and exterior of building.  This includes, but is not limited to, the following:  setting up tables and chairs, cleaning tables and seats inside and out, cleaning and stocking food trays, stocking and cleaning condiment stations, taking out garbage and recyclables, cleaning up the area around the lodge, vacuuming, cleaning and stocking the bathrooms, and dishwashing.
  • Coordination of snow removal efforts for all decks, walkways and stairs.
  • Completion of janitorial duties to ensure that the lodge is clean and ready to go for next day.
  • Communicate with management team to ensure that all maintenance problems are addressed in a timely matter. 
  • Light equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain friendly, team spirit with a focus on guest services.
  • Assist with training and documentation of staff on snow blowers, equipment, and all pertinent MSDS sheet items.
  • Assist in "lost and found" item efforts.
  • Order and maintain par levels on cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Meet service level objectives and department goals.
  • Flexible working hours. 
  • Communicate proactively with management team and fellow Lodge Attendants, and provide input regarding lodge operations and elevated guest experience.
