Designer
Looking for a designer who is capable of helping produce drawings for their customers. They specialize in high-density shipping containers.
Individual will be responsible for receiving mathematical data and then completing drawings using SolidWorks design software. They will be responsible for designing concepts based upon criteria collected during information meetings with the engineering manager or with the customer.
Primary responsibilities:
- Eventually work directly with the customers to help provide quotes/bids for customers
- All work will be done in SolidWorks
- Majority of the bids/quotes should take about eight hours, Some can be done in as few as four hours pending the complexity
- Provide solutions to customer
- Biggest challenge is to figure out how to provide structural integrity to the overall concept
Job requirements:
- Must have experience with SolidWorks, Catia, or UG
- Knowledge of thermoforming products would be a plus
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to design from scratch
