About this job

Our client is seeking an Environmental Logistics Coordinator in the Richmond, VA area. Individual will work in the Operations Management Department to dispatch and coordinate equipment and personnel to the field.

Job Description:

  • Works as a partner to Branch Manager in administering work process flow for the Mid-Atlantic offices
  • Maintains master schedule of personnel and equipment utilization and making deployment decisions on a daily basis including ensuring daily equipment tracking and readiness
  • Responsible for prioritizing client projects and associated tasks by minimizing sub-contracting costs with effective utilization of resources
  • Responsible for scheduling of new orders as well as adapting changes to existing projects on an on-going basis
  • Coordinates the rental of equipment and subcontract of services/labor with cost estimates and use of best available options
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting regulatory notifications
  • Remains in active contact with field crews throughout the day to assure clients expectations are exceeded
  • Follows up with vendors and service providers throughout project execution and through close-out
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing driver daily paperwork including driver logs, trip reports, dispatch logs and mileage reports, for submission to Compliance Department
  • Daily coordination and interaction with Operations Manager and provides back up support as needed
  • Performs related duties as needed to support the effective and smooth operations in the field
  • Provide guidance and support to field employees by effectively communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • May be required to serves as a contact for Emergency Response ("ER") Team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year experience at a Supervisor level
  • Experience in the environmental, construction, manufacturing, or energy industry
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • General understanding of equipment capabilities and requirements of different types of jobs
  • Ability to work in a wide range of environments including those involving hazardous conditions which may require lifting or exerting force exceeding 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in excess of regularly scheduled hours when necessary.
  • Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs.
