MSLA - Director of Operations - Cypress, CA or Tampa, FL - Full-time / Part-time

MSLA is a Medical Corporation that provides comprehensive independent medical evaluations (IME) and other IME related services to the government and private industry. Our business philosophy incorporates both exceptional customer service and quality evaluations, both of which are the primary factors for our rapid growth since our inception in 1998.
 
In addition to our core clinics located throughout California, Nevada and Hawaii, MSLA manages an extensive nationwide network of fully credentialed physicians in all major specialties, each meticulously screened for compliance with our standards for service excellence.
 
We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to organize and oversee daily operations, ensuring that our business is well - coordinated and productive by effectively managing policies, processes, procedures, and people.  The ideal candidate must be competent and able to anticipate, plan, coordinate and execute operational activities needed to ensure that our client’s needs and expectations are met and / or exceeded.  A key objective is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate long - term success.  S / he must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient and effective ways to run the business.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the successful planning, execution and monitoring of the day - to - day operations of the assigned business unit(s)
Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business processes and procedures according to organizational objectives, apply improvements and promote implementation
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners / vendors
Evaluate overall performance, operational effectiveness and profitability by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established rules, regulations and policies
Ensure the business is managed in accordance with all contractual requirements
Participates in internal and external audits

Required Qualifications:

BS / BA in Business Administration or relevant field
3+ years experience as a Director of Operations or equivalent position / responsibilities
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operation metrics
Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
Preferred Qualifications:

MS / MA
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
Six Sigma/Lean
