The Assistant Front Desk Manager directly supervises the front desk staff in addition to monitoring the daily operations of the hotel, while being the principal Front of the House Management Representative to guests. This individual has overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Desk and guest services departments, and is expected to assist other departments when necessary and keeps the Rooms Division Manager informed of hotel activities and challenges. The Assistant Front Desk manager conducts daily briefings with Front Desk Agents to discuss priorities, problems, grievances, methods of operation, procedures, and policies.  

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • 1 year previous hotel experience
  • Guest Service experience
  • Strong working knowledge of computers
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Polite and pleasant demeanor
  • Well Organized

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:

  • Front Desk experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of a property management system (Visual One desirable)
