Welder - Structural Welding - Entry Level

Welder - Structural Welders - 2+ years of experience okay.

Client in the Kingsburg/Selma Area is hiring qualified welders.

Job Description/Qualifications:

• Mig weld steel parts of varying thicknesses and overall size and weight.
• Using cranes and rigging to move parts and welded product
• Using plasma cutters and oxy-fuel cutting torches.
• Using various hand power tools such as; grinders, drills, saws, etc.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
• Practice good housekeeping and properly dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
• Ability to learn operations of multiple jigs/fixtures within a job area and must be able to regularly rotate jobs to meet schedules. Assist in training other employees in safe and efficient use of jigs/fixtures.
• Must work at a reasonable pace and within our quality standards to ensure timely completion.
• Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and equipment to build steel structures.. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Requirements:

• Must be able to read blue prints and know weld symbols.
• Must have at least 1-2 years of recent experience
• Must know fractions and decimal / fraction conversions.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and verbal English.
• Must be able to use tape measure and steel rule / square.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Must be willing to submit to background check AND drug screen.

Shifts: 1st - 5am ----- 2nd - 3pm

Pay: $10 - $15/HR depending on experience. Must be able to pass Structural Welding Written Test and Weld Test
